Medicaid Changes
New Medicaid Requirements Starting January 1, 2027
You may have seen or read that Medicaid has new changes. As a CareFirst CHPMD member, these changes may affect you, or they may not, since they will only apply to some adults (ages 19 to 64) in Maryland.
Things to Do
- Ensure your address, phone number(s) and email addresses are up to date with Maryland Health Connection (MHC).
- Use the screener tool to find out if these changes may apply to you.
- Report changes to your household (like getting married, being pregnant or having a baby) or changes to your income on your MHC application.
- Be sure to renew your coverage on time in 2026. MHC can confirm your renewal date.
