As a CareFirst CHPMD member, providers are not to charge you for any healthcare services covered by CareFirst CHPMD. There are currently no copays for covered healthcare services. Please refer to the “What’s Covered” section in your Member Handbook for more information on covered services. Please call Member Services at 410-779-9369 or 800-730-8530 (TTY: 711) if you receive a bill.

Please note, this does not apply to pharmacy. The pharmacy copays are as follows:

  • $1.00 for generic drugs, preferred/formulary brand drugs and HIV/AIDS drugs
  • $3.00 for non-preferred/non-formulary brand drugs

Pregnant individuals, American Indians, individuals under the age of 21, individuals receiving hospice care, individuals in long-term care facilities, and family planning drugs such as birth control are not included in the above copayments.
