Become an in-network provider
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Community Health Plan Maryland (CareFirst CHPMD) believes that supporting our provider network is critical to the health of our communities. We work collaboratively with our network of over 15,000 physicians and healthcare providers to deliver the best quality care to our members.
Provider resources
CareFirst CHPMD offers a variety of resources for providers such as a Provider Portal allowing you access to information 24/7. Many resources are also available without logging in such as the Learning and Engagement Center offering a variety of on-demand courses and webinars, Provider News to keep you informed, and manuals and guides to assist as you work with us.
In-network providers are encouraged to use our Provider Portal (CareFirst Direct) to access information 24/7. This portal allows you to check eligibility and benefits, claims status, submit prior authorizations, access your PCP panel roster, care plans as well as update your demographic information.
