Important Member ID Card Information
All CareFirst Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO), Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and Point of Service (POS) members have a combined medical/vision ID card.
As we strive to continue to provide the best quality service to our members, CareFirst, along with the BlueCross BlueShield Association, reformatted and redesigned the cards. These changes ensure that all logos, service numbers and disclosure statements are in a consistent location on the cards, regardless of the Blues Plan.
The new format is more user-friendly and allows members and providers to easily find the information necessary to receive (or render) care. We are confident that this design makes our cards easier to read and understand, and have increased member and provider satisfaction.
Your health plan benefits have not changed because of the ID card redesign. Membership numbers are the same as well as all pertinent benefit information.
