ID Card Printing Error – New Information

Please be advised of an additional ID card printing error that impacts the Calvert County Public Schools employer group.

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield recently notified providers of an ID card printing error impacting members of the Montgomery County Public Schools employer group. Please be advised of an additional ID card printing error that impacts the Calvert County Public Schools employer group. The ID cards are effective 1/1/2010, and display the incorrect Primary Care Physician (PCP) co-pay for BlueChoice cards.

  • All BlueChoice cards display a $5.00 PCP co-pay and it should be a $10.00.
  • The specialist $10.00 co-pay is correct

The co-pay error is in the process of being corrected and new cards will be reissued.

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and CareFirst BlueChoice, Inc. have recently learned of an ID card printing error that impacts the Montgomery County Public School employer group. The ID cards are effective 1/1/2010, and display the incorrect PCP co-pay on BlueChoice HMO Open Access and BlueChoice HMO Opt-Out Open Access cards.

  • The BlueChoice HMO Open Access card - displays a $10.00 PCP co-pay, instead of the correct $5.00 co-pay.

  • The BlueChoice HMO Opt- Out Open Access card - displays a $5.00 co-pay, instead of the correct $10.00 co-pay.

The co-pay errors have been corrected and new cards were mailed January 2, 2010.
