Update on Immediate Needs Supply
A complete listing of the immediate needs supplies are now housed in CareFirst's Medical Policy Reference Manual. Immediate needs supplies refer to certain medical materials that CareFirst and CareFirst BlueChoice PCPs, physical therapists, podiatrists, orthopedists and chiropractors can provide to patients during an office visit. No authorization is needed or accepted. The member's benefits must be verified prior to providing the supplies, as medical benefit limitations, policies and procedures still apply. |
