Enhancements to EDI Hotline Service

In order to respond to your questions more quickly, we have enhanced our EDI Hotline service. As of June 22, 2009, the EDI Hotline is re-directed to our centralized Help Desk operation. This change ensures that:

  • Your call will be answered by a live agent
  • You will be assigned a ticket number to track resolutions and/or future inquiries regarding the issue
  • Use e-mail to send supplementary information related to your Help Desk ticket
  • Reference the ticket number in the subject line of the e-mail
  • You receive a prompt response
  • You have access to our new toll-free number -- 1-877-526-8390.*
  • The existing hotline number, 410-998-4599, will remain active until September 22, 2009, in order to facilitate this change.
  • This number is not for claim status inquiries. If you are inquiring about claim status, please continue to use BlueLine or CareFirst Direct.

For better assistance, use one of the following terms when placing your call:

  • 835 ERA's/enrollment
  • NPI
  • 837 claim status for NCOF (no claim on file) or front end rejections from CareFirst
