Dental Providers: CareFirst and CareFirst BlueChoice Agreement with NEA
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) and CareFirst BlueChoice, Inc. (CareFirst BlueChoice) have entered into an agreement with National Electronic Attachment (NEA) to facilitate the electronic submission of dental attachments in support of the new Utilization Management requirements. NEA is a web based service that enables dental offices to electronically transmit dental attachments, such as radiographs, periodontal charting, photographs and other necessary dental/medical records to insurance carriers via the Internet. NEA's FastAttach™ system is a reliable and secured method of submitting supporting documentation to insurance companies. The system is easy to use and saves time and money by eliminating the need to duplicate radiographs and/or other attachments and significantly reducing mailing costs, while minimizing the risk of lost radiographs. Providers are invited to take advantage of a special promotion being offered by NEA. Complete details regarding this offer will follow in a special mailing to dental providers.
