Updates to the CareFirst BlueChoice In-Office Procedure List
Effective January 18, 2008, the following laboratory services can be performed in a physician office setting (in addition to contracted lab facilities).

Procedure codes 89300, 89310, 89320 and 89321 may no longer be performed by PCPs and Specialists in a physician office setting (in addition to contracted laboratory facilities).
In addition, effective March 7, 2008, procedure code 83037 may be performed by PCPs and Specialists in a physician office setting (in addition to contracted laboratory facilities). Be sure to verify member eligibility and coverage prior to rendering services, as benefit limitations and medical policy requirements still apply.
