CareFirst Quality Rewards | CareFirst Quality Rewards - Surgeons

CareFirst Quality Rewards - Surgeons (CQR-S) is the next phase of CQR, our pay-for-quality program. We have modified our initial CQR program to be relevant to general surgeons through an additional collaboration with the American Board of Surgery (ABS).

We also worked in collaboration with our customers, other national health care industry organizations and network physicians, to reward general surgeons for effective and affordable health care delivery. We are working with other national specialty organizations to adapt CQR for other physician specialties in coming years.

Physicians must be active in the following networks to participate. Physicians must also have sufficient claims volume to support the measurement of affordability.

• GHMSI (Select Preferred Provider (SPP) and Participating)
