Azmacort® Inhalation Aerosol Soon Discontinued
Effective December 31, 2009, Azmacort® Inhalation Aerosol, manufactured by Abbott, will be discontinued because of the potential effect chlorofluorocarbon containing medical products have on the environment. Azmacort®, generically known as triamcinolone acetonide, is prescribed as a long-term therapy to control bronchial asthma attacks. Azmacort® Inhalation Aerosol will be available in Pharmacies through the end of the year, but patients using this product should begin to transition to an alternate therapy. |
