 Provider Outreach & Education (POE) Advisory Group CareFirst of Maryland Medicare A hosts a quarterly Provider Outreach & Education Advisory Group (POE) meeting whose purpose is to provide advice and recommendations for a selection of provider education and training topics as well as dissemination avenues and types and/or locations for educational forums. The POE advisory group consists of individual providers, representatives from related organizations such as State Medical societies, CMS, billing staffs and Intermediary representatives. Members serve a vital role in improving communications between Medicare and the provider community by reviewing current Medicare issues, identifying educational needs and proposing ways to improve service to our customers. The advisory group does not determine policy, but collects general issues common to the provider community. Your input is instrumental in helping CareFirst of Maryland Medicare Part A provide the quality customer service we are committed to.
