CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Cooks Up Healthy Video Series |
| Health e-Cooking Show Demonstrates How to Eat Right
|
OWINGS MILLS, MD (March 12, 2008) — CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) today announced that visitors to its Web site can now watch its healthy cooking video series, "The Health eCooking Show," by visiting the recipes section of www.mycarefirst.com.
“Step-by-step instructions on how to prepare healthy and delicious dishes for the whole family can be watched the same as a person’s favorite celebrity cooking show or members can point and click to playback each step,” said Jon Shematek, CareFirst’s Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. "We aim to provide recipes that are fun, easy to learn, include ingredients readily available, and taste great."
Each eCooking Show episode lasts two minutes, and is Web cast in Adobe Flash. Free download of Adobe Flash software is available and can be accessed on the recipes sections of www.mycarefirst.com. In the coming months, aspiring health-e chefs can learn how to make chicken soup, blueberry crisp, meatloaf, and asparagus frittata.
