CareFirst Enhances Administration Process for BlueFund HSA Plans
If you offer a BlueFund consumer directed health (CDH) plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA) through The Bank of New York Mellon, you and your employees will soon notice changes in the administration process.
With an enhanced Customer Service Model, Member Services has been trained to handle additional HSA and banking-related inquiries regarding:
- Eligibility for HSA enrollment.
- General banking fees.
- Current interest rates for HSA accounts.
- Contributions (catch-up contributions, timing, etc.).
Additionally, your employees will have access to more health savings account-related information on www.carefirst.com. Through My Account, our secure site for members, all active BlueFund CDH HSA members will have direct access to the ACS|Mellon HSA Solution web site by using their My Account registration information. With this new single sign-on feature, members can view details about health savings account balances, receive important tax information and manage their investments – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
