May 29 Wellness WebEx Presentation - Participation & Incentives in Health Promotion Programs
|
Do you know that when it comes to health promotion incentives…
- 95% of all consumers prefer premium reductions or cash, instead of non-monetary rewards*,
- Rates of enrollment in health and wellness programs are significantly higher when promoted during open enrollment periods**,
- Incentives can take the form of cash payments, lower insurance premiums, health-related items, time off work, or a contribution to an HSA account and
- Appropriate incentives can double or even triple participation rates**?
|
The key to any successful health and wellness program is employee participation. Without it, even the best laid plans and intentions will have little impact.
That’s why our May Wellness WebEx presentation will focus on helping you develop appropriate employee incentives for your health promotion programs. On May 29, Meg Rothenstein, a CareFirst Health Promotion Specialist, will help to answer the following questions:
- How can I encourage my employees to participate in a health promotion program?
- What types of incentives have been shown to increase participation?
- What are some ideas for incentives when I have a limited budget?
These free, monthly presentations provide you with the opportunity to learn about what health promotion and wellness programs are all about, why companies invest in these programs and how you can start developing a wellness program of your own.
Please feel free to send along this invitation to anyone in your organization that may benefit from the May presentation. Participants will include employer benefit administrators, health promotion advocates, wellness ambassadors or company executives.
To register for the May 29 WebEx presentation, please visit www.carefirst.com/webex. There is no limit to the number of participants per company who may register.
Please Note: For those of you looking to the June event, it is scheduled for June 26. The planned topic is, "Action! Choosing the Best Programs for your Worksite."
