The Group Hospitalization and Medical Services, Inc. service area includes:
- Maryland
- District of Columbia
- the cities of Alexandria and Fairfax
- the town of Vienna
- Arlington County
- the areas of Fairfax and Prince William Counties in Virginia lying east of Route 123
